Interflow has announced the appointment of Daniel Weaver as new managing director, making him the fourth generation of Weaver to carry on the family business.
Daniel will assume responsibilities on 1 January 2022, succeeding his father Geoff Weaver as he passes down the baton.
Geoff will retain his position as chairman of the board, and will support Daniel through this leadership transition.
The announcement was made to Interflow’s employees on the organisation’s 85th anniversary, which was celebrated on 11 November.
Coinciding with the launch of the company’s new strategic framework ‘Our Interflow’, this leadership transition signifies the start of a new chapter for the organisation.
Daniel Weaver has been part of the Interflow team since 2003, working in many areas of the company and moving between departments to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business function.
In 2019, Weaver was appointed chief operating officer, with responsibilities for all regional operations and customer delivery.
Geoff has been with the company for 45 years, 30 of which he served as managing director.
“Each generation of leadership has contributed something unique to the business that has helped shape its success,” said Geoff.
“Daniel’s legacy will be underpinned by the company’s new strategic framework, ‘Our Interflow’, which carries forward Interflow’s rich history of innovation whilst laying out new goals for growth and development.”
Daniel said he was both honoured and grateful to carry on his great-grandfather’s legacy.
“we will continue to improve the lives of the people we work with, the communities we serve and the environment we work in, for generations to come,” he added.
