YVW announces new general manager

YVW new general manager

Yarra Valley Water (YVW) has appointed Bridie Fennessy as its new general manager for distribution services.

Fennessy has been acting in the role since August and YVW said she has proven herself as a resilient and energetic leader during what has been a challenging time for the company.

She joined YVW in 2015 and was previously divisional manager for services response, where she established a new division that has delivered improved services for customers experiencing water and sewerage issues.

Prior to that, Fennessy held previous roles in customer strategy, advocacy and public policy at PTV, the Public Transport Ombudsman and the Energy and Water Ombudsman of Victoria.

YVW managing director Pat McCaffery said he was pleased to announce her appointment following a rigorous recruitment process.

“Bridie’s an experienced leader who embodies our values and has a proven track record in achieving positive outcomes for our customers and business,” McCafferty said.

“She provides calm and focused leadership which inspires others to deliver effective customer-focused solutions which help to deliver on our purpose – to support the health and wellbeing of our customers and create a brighter future for communities and the natural environment.”
