Upgrade of A01 Rising Main

Description: Gladstone Regional Council (the Principal) requires a suitably qualified Contractor to undertake the upgrade of approximately 1.8 kilometre of rising main between the A01 Sewer Pump Station (SPS) and Gladstone Wastewater Treatment Plant (GWWTP). 

Tawa St Water Supply Upgrade

Description: Whanganui District Council (WDC) is inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors to construct the new water and gas main on Tawa St from Rata St to Kings Ave.

The scope of work includes but is not restricted to:

  • The installation ONLY of principal-supplied water main materials, of a length of 670 metres of DN100 PVC-M watermain by open cut trenching, a length of 600 metres of DN150 mm PE gas main and 50 metres DN80 mm PE gain main by using the open cut trenching, and 35 metres DN80 mm PE gain main by using the directional trenching method. (The gas main and watermain will share the same trench)
  • The installation of four new fire hydrants, five valves and associated streetwear.
  • Supply and Install of 200mm x 25mm H4 Timber between gas and water mains, as a separation barrier between mains
  • Relocation/realignment of all other utilities that may be required to deliver the scope.
  • Private connections where needed.
  • Flushing, disinfection, and pressure testing of new water pipeline.
  • Incorporation of materials supplied by the Principal into the contract works.
  • Planned work shut-offs with appropriate public notice.
  • Management of high groundwater conditions if necessary.
  • Full reinstatement in line with existing conditions.
  • As-built document preparation.
