No-Dig 2022 is officially underway at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
The exhibition opening and welcome reception began at 5pm on 14 June and was a wonderful opportunity to see individuals from every aspect of the industry come together after three long years apart.
The reception was proudly sponsored by Herrenknecht.
ASTT President, Ben Crosby, opened the event by not only thanking the sponsors and exhibitors but also all those who attended.
“Looking around at the quality of displays this year, I can say with certainty – it was worth the wait,” said Crosby.
“I am proud that our industry has continued to thrive throughout the pandemic, with many individuals and companies in the room this evening contributing to Australia’s – and indeed, the world’s – ongoing major infrastructure projects.”
Herrenknecht’s Ben Hayes also addressed those in attendance, captivating the crowd with an introduction to the Australian trenchless industry and its tried and true approach to innovation.
“Here in Australia, and New Zealand, I found people telling me what they wanted to do and asking us for a solution. Clients who understood the risks they were taking on in delivering their projects, and merely requiring us at Herrenknecht to provide them the tools to do it,” said Hayes.
“We are always willing to engage, discuss, and develop ideas in collaboration with all stake holders, at all stages of the project life cycle, from feasibility through to delivery.”
Following the welcome reception, attendees got their first chance to explore the exhibition which features several impressive displays from Pipe Core, Vacvator, SECA and more.
The remainder of the conference kicked off early on 15 June with a keynote presentation from Jonathan Farrell, Program Manager at Urban Utilities. His presentation was shortly followed by a panel session, looking at current projects being undertaken by the company.
Be sure not to miss the rest of the No-Dig conference, there’s plenty left to come from the industry’s experts.
Free tickets to the exhibition are still available, register online or at the door.
