ASTT Training Courses returning to Water NZ Conference

The Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT) is bringing its trenchless training course along to the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo next week.

Taking place on October 17, the Trenchless 101 training course will be presented by ASTT President Ben Crosby, alongside the association’s New Zealand Councillor Blair Telfer and 3Waters technical principal Tony Gordon.

The course is an introduction to trenchless installation methods, providing participants with an overview of the methods for the installation of new utilities and the renovation of existing gravity drainage pipe assets.

Trenchless 101 familiarises newcomers with a simple definition of trenchless technology, and an understanding of the comparative benefits.

Individual technologies will be broadly described with a description of how they work, relative pros and cons of each, work ranges and limitations.

Examples will be provided using practical case studies to ensure a sounds understanding.

The course is best suited to industry newcomers with an interest in trenchless installation, such as students, site engineers, management teams, capital works or asset planning and investment teams.

The Water New Zealand Conference & Expo runs from 18 to 20 October at the new Te Pae Convention centre in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
