Trenchless Australasia spoke with Inrock Limited Australian sales director Chris Rose on the company’s evolution and its service to Australian customers.
The Sandvik company has been supplying horizontal directional drilling (HDD) supplies and services into Australia and New Zealand directly from its headquarters in the United Kingdom (UK) since 1993.
The company is well-known for its reliable and ground-breaking drilling tools, as well as its equipment and services targeting its global customers in the HDD industry.
“Inrock is a pioneer in the first rock drilling projects attempted in the HDD industry,” Rose said.
“We continue to focus our resources on setting the standard for these tools.”
Some of the pioneering activities from Inrock includes the design and launch of its Extreme Reamer reaming platform XTR™ and HDX™, the leading technology for hard rock environments.
The company has also introduced guidance technology ParaTrack™ and launched CrossView™, the first electronic data recorder specifically made for the HDD industry.
Inrock’s sole dedication to the HDD industry is why customers have been choosing the company for over 30 years.
Rose, who joined Inrock in 2021, has an extensive background in customer sales and services across the mining, civil and construction space.
“It has been an arduous task locating HDD Contractors and Utilities Companies throughout Australia and New Zealand,” Rose said.
“This has been made much easier in recent months with the integration of Sandvik Sales and Reporting Tools.
“In the coming weeks we will see stock in Australia which will make life easier for everybody.”
The company will also showcase at No-Dig Down Under 2023, the southern hemisphere’s only large-scale conference and exhibition dedicated to trenchless technology.
With the conference showcasing an array of innovations in HDD, Rose is looking forward to highlighting what Inrock has on offer.
“We always look towards continuing the advancement and growth of the global HDD industry,” Rose said.
“At No-Dig Down Under, we are delighted to showcase our range of products and services on offer to the Australian HDD industry.”
Rose said the company is proud of its customer-driven focus, striving to provide as much stock as possible for the industry.
“Inrock’s primary focus is to hold appropriate stock levels for our clients,” Rose said.
“Let us know what you would like to see on the shelves as we look forward to growing with each and every one of our clients.”
