CDE impresses at No-Dig Down Under

CDE

Following the appearance of CDE’s G:MAX, a dual stage wet recycling system for solid/liquid waste at No-Dig Down Under 2023, the company has now sold the machine to horizontal directional drilling company, Tonagh Civil.

The two companies first met at the 2022 No-Dig Down Under event, forming a strong relationship.

“It’s been a great 12 months from initially meeting them to being able to display their new machine at this year’s show,” CDE business development manager Jason Hartmann said.

Tonagh Civil, who predominately builds pipelines for various contractors throughout New South Wales (NSW), specialises in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and excavation.

The company operates HDD equipment which is capable of boring up to 500m.

“We’re very passionate about our work and have a high standard in doing it right the first time,” Tonagh Civil managing director Fergal Smith said.

“Working with CDE on acquiring the G:MAX is setting us up to venture into material processing and we’re excited to see what new business avenues this opens up.”

The G:MAX dewatering machine is a dual-stage wet recycling system, which is highly versatile and can be used to process a range of solid/liquid wastes including road sweepings, gully waste, hydrovac waste and more.

With all essential processes housed on one chassis, CDE’s G:MAX is an all-in-one wet processing system with an integrated hopper for direct feeding, a split screen for separating products and an on-board control panel.

While it has numerous benefits, a crucial one is the economical savings.

“For our customers, it’s really about waste diversion and how they can do that successfully and efficiently,” Hartmann said.

“So instead of spending exorbitant dollars on disposing of the material, they’re charging the received materials, then they clean it up and then sell the material back in the marketplace again.”

This year, CDE showcased the G:MAX machine for the first time at No-Dig Down Under 2023.

“This is the first time we brought a piece of machinery to any show in Australia,” Hartmann said.

“It’s been really exciting for us to be able to showcase our equipment to people and see their reaction to the scale of what we do and our offering.

The feedback from both customers and trade show attendees has been positive.

“We have received great feedback on our stand from our customers,” Hartmann said.

“We’ve been able to network with quite a few customers and some have come from New Zealand just for the show.

“It’s been nice to see that the show itself has such an attraction in the industry that people are flying in from around Australia and New Zealand to attend.”

With a strong installation base across Australasia, CDE is also happy to arrange live site demonstration visits for the system.
