With a focus on after sales and customer care, Sewer Equipment Company (AUST) better known as SECA, has provided a fully equipped, custom-built CCTV van to Tyzac Vacuum Excavation.
Based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Tyzac Vacuum Excavation specialises in vacuum excavation, non-destructive digging, potholing, trenching, and service locating.
With pipe jetting, cleaning capabilities and now CCTV pipe inspections added to its list of capabilities, the company needed a complete solution to drive its CCTV operations.
“We found SECA online and talked to people in the industry to find out who could meet our requirements,” Tyzac Vacuum Excavation director Damion MacDonald said.
“We were looking for a specific solution that could provide a CCTV pipe inspection van and equipment services around the south-east Queensland area.”
SECA tailors each CCTV vehicle fit out to suit every customer’s individual needs. This includes vehicle size, system configuration, load capacities and storage requirements.
“The finishes and setup that SECA were able to provide were seamless and of the highest quality and finish,” MacDonald said.
“We were able to custom design our specific requirements to suit the van we purchased.
MacDonald added that the custom van also allowed Tyzac Vacuum Excavation to put it straight out onto a job the day after it had the van fitted out.

Tyzac Vacuum Excavation’s solution is fully equipped with a comprehensive CCTV inspection system, which includes the iPEK Rovion Crawler RX130.
The RX130 continues to be a popular choice amongst CCTV operations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The crawler is suitable for pipe diameters ranging from 150mm to 1000m and has a colour reversing camera.
Other features include a six-wheel drive, an additional light connection point and inclination and roll sensors.
As it works with all Rovion systems, the RX130 is an adaptable tractor unit and can be built to various pipe specifications.
Completing Tyzac Vacuum Excavation’s CCTV inspection system is WinCan VX, an advanced CCTV pipe inspection software.
The software allows users to collect pipe inspection data, organise it into a database and generate inspection reports that can graphically display the pipe and any defects.
It also allows operators to manage data post-inspection and share any information with clients using free viewer software, before exporting it in a variety of formats.
With its report templates, the WinCan VX presents a concise summary of asset conditions and can be fully customised for individual needs.
SECA national business development manager WinCan & Cameras Hugh O’Sullivan provides extensive training of this software and delivered this training for Tyzac Vacuum Excavation with its new custom built CCTV van.

An end-to-end service
For SECA, selling the product is only half the job. The next step is providing its customers with the best in-class after sales service and support.
With CCTV technicians located across three states in Australia, SECA provides a complete service and spare parts inventory for iPEK systems.
This dedicated support proved to be valuable for Tyzac Vacuum Excavation.
“SECA are already supplying great on the spot support for all of our initial projects we have already completed,” MacDonald said.
“Tyzac also sent two employees down for training at the SECA depot in Sydney this year and will send down future employees as training is required.
“We will also liaise with SECA on servicing of equipment and also purchase of new equipment.”
With its new state-of-the-art CCTV inspection van, Tyzac Vacuum Excavation can elevate its capabilities and perform even more reliable and efficient CCTV inspection services for customers.
