South East Water is set to begin water pipe and pump upgrades across Blairgowrie in Victoria.
The works are part of the utility’s infrastructure renewal program which involves replacing, maintaining and upgrading the existing water and sewerage infrastructure above and below the ground.
South East Water’s Water Renewal Program involves replacing water mains in nature strips and roadways.
This specific work will be done on Melbourne Road and will begin in early April until early May 2024. The works should take around four weeks to complete.
The rehabilitation will improve water service reliability, reduce potential property damage and reduce maintenance and repair costs of the water main.
Trenchless construction techniques will be used to minimise disturbance to the community.
Community members can expect work from Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm.
