The Kempsey Shire Council in New South Wales has made significant progress on the ongoing Kempsey sewer main relining project.
As of publication, approximately 1800m of DN150mm sewer main has been successfully relined.
This infrastructure upgrade is an essential part of the council’s commitment to maintaining and improving its community’s sanitation and public health standards.
Stage 2 of the project is set to commence in mid-July. This phase will focus on the sealing of 89 property service junctions, which is a vital step to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the sewer system.
All of these works are scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
The entire project, costing approximately $400,000, underpins the Kempsey Shire Council’s dedication to investing in vital community infrastructure.
“This investment not only enhances the reliability of our sewer system but also aims to reduce maintenance costs and prevent future disruptions,” the council said.
“We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this period of improvement.”
The repairs and maintenance to the Kempsey sewer system began in June, which have been essential to maintaining sewerage services, as well as protecting the local environment and public health.
