Stuart Harrison, CEO of OptionX Group, is embarking on a strategic international tour in the coming months to promote two of the company’s groundbreaking technologies: AdaptX and Riteline.
With stops in the UK, Dubai, and Canada, Harrison will be focusing on building partnerships and engaging with potential suppliers and distributors. This tour marks a significant opportunity for OptionX Group to strengthen its global presence in the microtunnelling industry.
Educating the market on new microtunnelling technology
The tour comes at an opportune moment for AdaptX, as the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) has recently updated its definition of microtunnelling to include vacuum technology — something Harrison had lobbied for after working in the space for more than two decades.
AdaptX, OptionX Group’s cutting-edge adaptable drilling machine, is strongly positioned to capitalise on this change. Harrison explains that part of his tour will focus on educating the market about the advantages of vacuum technology in microtunnelling, with AdaptX demonstrating its ability to handle challenging ground conditions using this method.
“While vacuum technology has long been accepted in Australian microtunnelling, it has been less common overseas until now,” Harrison said.
“This approach is poised to reshape how projects are executed.”
Despite its world-leading status, vacuum microtunnelling has been held back by limited production capacity, making it a highly sought-after solution.
“Interest in AdaptX and its capabilities is already strong, with vacuum technology being a key part of its appeal. The vacuum revolution has started, and those in the know understand its potential to transform the future of the trenchless industry,” Harrison said.
Riteline: A game-changer for casing spacers
Alongside AdaptX, Riteline, OptionX Group’s innovative casing spacer system, will also be highlighted during the tour. Riteline’s adaptable design has made it an invaluable addition for both vertical and horizontal drilling and tunnelling projects. Harrison is eager to showcase the advantages of this product to international markets, reinforcing the message that Australian-made solutions like Riteline are helping shape the future of trenchless technology.
Key markets for growth
The UK and Dubai are key stops on Harrison’s itinerary. In the UK, he will attend No-Dig Live 2024, a globally recognised event for trenchless technology, where Riteline will be featured at the TA Drilling stand.
In Dubai, OptionX Group will have a stand at Trenchless Middle East 2024, which incorporates the ISTT International No-Dig event. Riteline and AdaptX are both nominated for the ISTT New Technology Award, having previously been finalists in the Australian ASTT awards, with AdaptX taking home the win.
Harrison will also stop at No-Dig North 2024 in Canada, where the event will highlight the growing adoption of trenchless technology across North America.
Expanding reach in North America
Joining Harrison on parts of the tour is Eddie Daws, OptionX Group’s Head of Sales. Daws will also be in the UK and Dubai, ensuring both regions receive comprehensive knowledge about OptionX Group’s innovations. Additionally, Daws will attend MINExpo International in the United States, further expanding OptionX Group’s reach into the North American market. With both leaders driving these efforts, the tour is expected to lay the groundwork for new partnerships and business opportunities in several key regions.
Looking forward
This overseas tour goes beyond product promotion – it’s about educating the market on cutting-edge advancements in microtunnelling and trenchless technology. Harrison is leading a movement that’s reshaping the global approach to underground infrastructure. With AdaptX and Riteline at the forefront, OptionX Group is well-positioned for ongoing growth and innovation.
