A technical presentation on designing for horizontal directional drilling (HDD) protection will take place in Western Australia, providing valuable insights into the complexities of coating protection for HDD.
The technical session will be hosted by the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT), in conjunction with the organisation’s Young Trenchless Professionals (YTP), and will be presented by industry experts Denso Australia.
The ‘Design for HDD Protection’ presentation will explore topics such as the common causes for coating damage and how to identify them as well as design considerations and protective coatings for pipeline application.
“Join us for an afternoon and early evening technical presentation on ‘Design for HDD Protection’,” the ASTT said
“Held in collaboration with the ASTT’s YTP and presented by industry experts Denso Australia, this presentation will prove beneficial whether you are new to the industry or looking to dive deeper into some of the key aspects of coating protection.
“Come prepared with your burning questions or simply to absorb some knowledge, before some post presentation networking with our presenters and affiliate members.”

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 30 from 5pm to 8pm at Raffles Hotel in Applecross, Western Australia.
