Empire Infrastructure is thrilled to be part of the Ridgelea Branch Sewer Pipeline project.
The project came about when a new housing development named Ridgelea Estate, required connection to the existing sewer pipeline infrastructure.
Connecting to the existing sewer pipeline would involve installing both open trench and jacking pipes, including manhole connectors and pipe bends.
The Ridgelea Branch Sewer project installed Fiberstrong GRP jacking pipe in the deeper sections of the project, up to 12m in depth.
The open trench pipe was used in the shallower sections – up to 6m in depth.
The Ridgelea sewer project required 1434m of various sized Fiberstrong GRP jacking and open trench pipes – this consisted of 316m of DN300, SN10,000, PN1, open trench pipe; 204m of DN300, OD324, SN 640,000, PN1; and 914 metres of DN350, OD376, SN 640,000, PN1 Fiberstrong GRP jacking pipe.
Empire Infrastructure is supplying top tier GRP jacking pipes for the project. The pipes are manufactured by Future Pipe Industries, and have been engineered for high jacking forces and stiffness of up to SN 640,000.

“This project showcases our commitment to providing cutting-edge infrastructure solutions that support the region’s growing needs,” the company said.
“At Empire Infrastructure, we specialise in delivering innovative, durable products that help shape the future of urban services.”
