Revolutionising relining: UV technology arrives in 2025

Groundbreaking innovation is set to redefine pipeline relining in 2025. By partnering with UV Relining, Pipe Core is bringing unmatched speed, precision, and efficiency to renewal of stormwater and wastewater networks across Australia.

To kick off the year, Pipe Core has partnered with UV Relining to bring game-changing UV technology to the industry.

From Sweden, UV Relining’s comprehensive solutions encompass state-of-the-art relining systems, UV curing resin and high-quality liners that work effectively together to deliver efficient and long-lasting renewal results in stormwater and wastewater networks.

Complementing their broad consumable offering, UV Relining’s latest innovation, the UV XAIR, is a complete system equipped with a single UV-head that effortlessly cures DN70 – DN600 liners, T-liners and patches.

“The UV XAIR has changed the UV relining landscape. One system, one head and three applications in DN70 – DN600 pipes, Taus Gerner Rasmussen, Chief of Sales at UV Relining said.

Inspired by the innovation of the racing industry, UV XAIR combines speed, durability, and advanced lightweight materials, setting a new benchmark for performance and visual appeal.

The system is incredibly easy to manoeuvre,” Rasmussen said. Users can also operate it with a wireless tablet interface, managing the system from convenient distance away from the place of installation.

The system comes with two 70m pushrods, equipped with double eggs, enabling operation from both ends. It is also designed to navigate 90-degree bends with ease in DN70 applications.

UV Relining prioritises ease of use with all their materials and equipment.

Operators can rely on the QR code located on the UV XAIR system for fast and easy installation information,” Rasmussen said.

The system’s reporting capabilities further streamline operation.

Every installation process is logged, creating automatic quality control documentation accessible from the cloud.

Most impressively, the UV XAIR boats curing speeds up to 120m per hour, making it one of the fastest solutions available.

The UV XAIR is optimised to deliver durable, efficient results when paired with UV Relining’s ready to use pre-impregnated liners, ensuring smooth and reliable installation every time.

Unlike two-part resin systems, UV Relining’s system utilises a specially developed singlecomponent UV curing resin. This resin only cures when exposed to UV light, offering installers complete control over the curing process while minimising exposure to harmful chemicals.

Other advantages include 50year expected service life, minimal preparation work, zero waste, and with no time constraints on curing, liners can be prepared and impregnated well in advance, even days or even weeks ahead of installation.

Each pre-impregnated liner is delivered with a QR code for automatic setup with the UV XAIR system, significantly reducing installation time.  Liners can also be ordered in project-specific lengths to streamline operations further.

UV Relining also offers UV Light Curing Resins and a range of liners in a wide range of dimensions and types, ensuring durable, wrinkle-free installations even through dimension changes.

The T-Liner system, compatible with the UV curing, enhances project flexibility. Designed for T and Y junction ranging from DN70 – DN300, the system also doubles as a patching tool, simplifying workflows by reducing the need for multiple setups or systems.

A comprehensive selection of spare parts is also available and support can be found locally through the exclusive distributor, Pipe Core, minimising downtime, ensuring cost-effective repairs, and maintaining reliable performance.
