A crash course in Primus Line training was provided in Brisbane last week, as Radlinger Primus Line and Urban Utilities joined forces to bring the industry together.
Urban Utilities, the water utility of Brisbane, is trained on the Primus Line system and has been performing Primus Line pressure pipe relining projects with their own crews for seven years.
Together with Radlinger Primus Line, it provided a training session at the Urban Utilities facilities in Brisbane to further train additional staff on the installation of Primus Line and also on the planning of pressure pipe renovation projects involving Primus Line.
Radlinger Primus Line director of civil engineering Heiko Manzke said the week was a great opportunity to upskill local workers.
“We used this session to invite and further educate guests not only from Urban Utilities, but also from Unitywater, Yarra Valley Water, City of Gold Coast, and several consulting engineers from the water and waste water sector,” he said.
“This training session was the perfect forum for bringing the industry, asset owners, and pipeline engineers together, raising questions and erasing doubts.”
In session two, several Primus Line partner companies were trained on the planning and installation of Primus Line projects.
This growing network of contractors all over Australia and New Zealand will help to ensure that Radlinger is well prepared to help the ANZ water and wastewater asset owners to reline their failing pressure mains.
