KOR launches nationally accredited competency training

When KOR Equipment Solutions identified the need to provide training for the industry, the KOR Academy was established.

Its purpose was to offer training designed to equip operators with the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for efficient and safe equipment operation.

Under arrangement and in partnership with Trainright, the KOR Academy delivers Nationally Accredited Competency Training. Trainright are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO code 45777) who design and develop the training content.

The KOR Academy offers Nationally Accredited Competency training for High Pressure Water Jetting, Drain Cleaning, Vacuum Loading, and Hydro Excavation (also known as NonDestructive Digging – NDD).

Aspects of these courses can be customised to an organisation’s needs so the content is relevant to the various applications and environments that the operators work in.

KOR Academy also ensures that training is convenient and cost effective, by offering the knowledge component of each course online.

The practical assessments are conducted either online or onsite. This means less ‘downtime’ for businesses as their operators are not required to attend lengthy theory sessions.

There have already been several groups that have undertaken training with the KOR Academy and the feedback has been very positive as organisations understand the benefits of this type of training for their operators and their business.

Besides enhancing safety, improving operational efficiency, and meeting regulatory compliance, it future proofs workforces through keeping operators updated on the latest technologies and operational methods.

KOR chief executive Andy Kimpton has been the architect behind the KOR Academy, and said the focus is on building up the industry.

“As a provider of world class equipment across the vacuum and jetting industry we continuously focus on building KOR as a true partner to our clients and being fully and vertically integrated across all our offerings supports them to keep their operations running,” he said.

“Training and development of our teams is critical to ensure the efficient, effective and safe use of this equipment and we are proud of our relationship with our RTO partner, Trainright, to deliver this nationally accredited competency training.”
