GHD has appointed Michelle Farrell as its new business group leader for Northern Water. She is set to begin her role at the end of the month and will be based in Auckland.
Farrell brings a broad range of experience from across the infrastructure sector, including roles in local government, consulting, and most recently as a senior leader with Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ).
Her background spans project delivery, client engagement, and industry advocacy.
GHD’s NZ Pacific region operations manager Gemma Grayson said Farrell’s appointment comes at a time of growth for the firm’s water business.
“Michelle’s energy, drive and depth of experience will be a real asset as we continue to grow and deliver impactful water projects across the APAC region,” Grayson said. “She’s also been a passionate advocate for civil contractors in New Zealand, and we’re looking forward to strengthening our collaboration with CCNZ with her on board.”
In her new role, Farrell will be responsible for leading GHD’s water operations in the northern region, supporting infrastructure development and project delivery across a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
