JB Trenchless delivers ADCO Group’s new Goodeng GS450 (45-tonne) horizontal directional drill, with the machine already deployed on a major gas pipeline installation project in WA.
The rig was secured to meet the increased thrust and pullback demands of large-diameter pipeline works and was put to work immediately upon delivery, drilling a 660mm diameter bore as part of the project scope.
The GS450 is equipped with additional support thrust motors, enabling thrust/pullback capacity of up to 60 tonnes when required.
This configuration provides greater flexibility when operating in challenging ground conditions and on longer, more demanding shots.
The addition of the 45T rig expands ADCO’s HDD fleet capability, positioning them to undertake larger and more technically demanding trenchless projects across the region.
ADCO said the additional power from the GS450 allows them to comfortably take on larger projects without having to compromise.
JB Trenchless are committed to providing the ongoing support to ensure the rig continues to perform across ADCO’s current and future HDD projects.
