Vermeer Australia has released a video illustrating the power and productivity of its D24 next generation horizontal directional drill (HDD).
In the video trenchless technology contractor, SEQ Trenchless, is using the rig on a drilling project in Queensland.
Equipped with 100-hp (75kW) CAT 3.6L Stage V engine, the D24 offers a 45-gpm (170-L/min) mud pump to increase fluid flow rates and features an automated rod exchange to streamline operations and the latest in onboard diagnostics.
The Vermeer D24 comes with a three year/3000 hour warranty.
At present SEQ Trenchless boasts a fleet of four horizontal directional drill rigs.
Specialising in HDD, the contractor works across water installations, electricity, communications, sewer and gas pipelines through various ground conditions, including shale and rock.
The company has completed large scale pipe installations on western Queensland mine sites and intricate installations in dense housing estates.
