Coe Drilling successfully completes PNG river crossing

In early 2008, Ok Tedi Mining contracted Coe Drilling to undertake the Ok Tedi River crossing project, entailing the construction of a 500 m long DN 200 steel mine waste tailings pipeline beneath the Ok Tedi River to transport the mine waste to a newly constructed tailings dam on the west side of the river near Bige in Papua New Guinea.

Australia’s largest water recycling project nears completion

Late in October 2008, pumps were activated, valves were opened and pipelines were filled as purified recycled water flowed from Gibson Island and Luggage Point Advanced Water Treatment Plants at the mouth of the Brisbane River into 200 kilometres of large diameter pipeline. The pipeline was installed using HDD for the projects many road and river crossings.
