Construction is closing in on completion, with three quarters of pipelines installed in a vital suburban water link in Melbourne’s outer east.
The Pakenham East Branch Sewer, Recycled Water and Potable Water Mains project is progressing smoothly according to a recent report.
Delivered by JAYDO as part of its ZJW (Zinfra, JAYDO, WSP in Australia) Joint Venture for South East Water, this vital infrastructure project will provide new sewer, potable, and recycled water mains to support the future development of the Pakenham East region.
To date, JAYDO has successfully installed over 9.2 km of the planned 12km of pipelines on this project, including:
– 4.4 km of large diameter GRP sewer installed at depths of up to 8m
– 3.8 km of DN300 recycled water main
– 1 km of DN500 drinking water main
– Complex tunnelling works beneath Princess Freeway/Gippsland Railway, Bald Hill Road and Deep Creek
“We’re proud to contribute to the growth and sustainability of this expanding community,” JAYDO said in a statement.
