The Vanguard Pathogen Defence System is a game-changing technology in wastewater management. This system aims to solve the long-standing issue that workers, residents and animals face with wastewater, which is the risk of exposure to these harmful pathogens that stem from wastewater sources and the cleaning of these underground assets.
Available through KOR Equipment Solutions, the Vanguard system has been specifically developed to protect and improve worker hygiene and decrease environmental contamination.
It can remove up to 98 per cent of bacteria and viruses like COVID-19, hepatitis and septic that are prevalent on manhole jet hoses. This includes when hoses are dragged across open public spaces or into residential yards, across grass, decks, pool areas all coming into contact with people particularly children and animals who play at ground level in these spaces.
The Vanguard system truck installation consists of four parts and a simple single-button operation.
- The control box that powers the Vanguard Pathogen Defense System is through mixing of an antibacterial disinfectant formula with water and propelling it through a cleaning collar – known as the cuff – or a spray gun.
- The antibacterial tank concentration can be adjusted for varying needs, giving the operator complete control depending on the requirements of the application.
- The cleaning collar which cleans the jet hose with the antibacterial formula. The collar surrounds the hose ensuring it is cleaned on all sides and cleans the hose as it is pulled through the collar. There is no need to touch the hose, as it simply retracts back into the truck therefore removing 98 per cent of viruses and bacteria as it is moves through.
- Lastly, the 15m hose extendable to 50m and spray nozzle that connects to the control box and neatly rolls into the heavy-duty reel. It allows workers to clean the equipment, localised area including often long pathway that the hose travels into a rear yard or public space. Including all surfaces that has been in contact with wastewater.
The Vanguard system is versatile and robust, capable of dealing with various types of waste including:
