The new SAERTEX-PACKERS with quick-release fasteners are the latest offering from SAERTEX multiCom^® GmbH. These innovative packers are an essential part of the process of installing a GRP liner and can be used universally with all UV-curing GRP hose liners and all conventional UV systems.

Suitable for all gravity and pressure applications, the SAERTEX-PACKERS are available in both circular and egg/ovoid-shaped profiles for DN 150 – DN 1600.

“The installation-friendly design of these packers with quick-release fasteners, guarantees quick assembly and disassembly on the construction site,” SAERTEX multiCom business development supply Katharina Helming said.

“Installers no longer have to battle with screws and bolts as our quick-release fasteners ensure hassle-free assembly.”

The packers are also equipped with a self-sealing lid which helps provide consistent installation results as it is easy to build up and maintain pressure in a pipe.

Most importantly, these German-made packers will save installers time.

Australian Pipeline Management director James Pickup acquired a full set of packers through local AUS/NZ supplier Pipe Core in early 2023 and can confirm first-hand the reduction in assembly time.

“The SAERTEX-PACKERS are much easier and more efficient than anything we have used before,” Pickup said.

“My operators and subcontractors also appreciate the reduced weight of these packers, an important element from a safety perspective when lowering into a pit.”

SAERTEX application engineer Alex Kaefer said that the installers will be able to shave two to four hours off a job, especially when working with bigger liners.

“We listened to our customers and have come up with a design that is 10 – 20kg lighter, making handling much more comfortable on site,” Helming said.
